The Ricardo Almeida Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association was founded in 1997.  It is one of the largest and most accomplished teams in the world.  Professor Ricardo Almeida is a fourth degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.  He studied under the legendary Renzo Gracie and became his first American Black Belt.

RABJJ is home to several UFC fighters: former UFC Champion Frankie Edgar,  Edson Barbosa, Tom DeBlass,  UFC Fighter Nick Catone,  Dante Rivera and, of course, Ricardo Almeida.

Dante Rivera Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Founder, Professor Dante Rivera, received his black belt from Professor Almeida in December 2008.
